What he likes to eat: Ikouir likes to eats animals and sticks. 
Ikouir's favorites :Ikouir hates humans and plants and Ikouir likes to break things.

Ikouir’s favourite color: Ikouir likes red, blue, green and purple. Ikouir lives in a dark cave in the middle of the ocean.  
Ikouir looks like: Ikouir has 2 red horns and a cape arms and 2 sharp feet.

Ikouir makes snorting sounds.

Ikouir walks with his bottom 2 arms and uses his 2 top arms to climb things and uses his legs to stand straight up (The one on the left side is y monster and the one on the right is my dad (Dracula).

ANZAC Commemoration

ANZAC

(A.n.z.a.c) is a Australia New Zealand Army Corp. it is also when Australia and New Zealand come together. ANZAC people fighting in war. The war began in 1915 April 25.

We commemorate ANZAC because they have fought for us. We commemorate ANZAC because it reminds us of all the New Zealanders and Australians that have died in the war.

WE commemorate ANZAC by coming to a dawn celebration, in the war memorial celebrated with military service and wearing a poppy flower.

The dawn celebration is when you have to wake up at dawn and it goes to 12pm. The dawn celebration will always start with a march.

I wonder what will happen if all the water is contaminated? I think it will be a world with contaminated water and that all of the water life animals will die.

Litter can make our water dirty by throwing our rubbish out then it goes to the drain which then

goes to the waterway. Also contaminated water

is caused by pesticides because when you put it on your fruits and you're veggies it can keep pest away from your fruit and your veggies but it can also contaminate water because when it rains the pesticides will get taken down and it will go to the drain then it goes to the sea.

Also our water could be dirty because of cattle waste when the farmer drops it in the drain and sometimes the rain can clean the water.

Also the contaminated water can kill marine life and then wales will die and the water will be filled with plankton and it might not be good enough to swim in. Contaminated water can affect the food chain because if an animals are dead and the animal that eats that animal will die and animals will be extinct. Contaminated water is also caused by oil spills like when a ship is not balanced and  there can be a oil spill, oil spills can also affect the marine life. Contaminated water can also affect people because it can carry a sickness,virus and a disease.If people don’t want to drink contaminated water and don’t want to get a disease .

Book review 3

Tom gates.

Tom gates is a book written by Liz Pichon. This book is about a boy who has 2 weeks of holidays and he wants to go to his next door neighbor which is his best friend called Derek. But his mum has received a letter from his teacher that says he has not done his review homework. Tom will not go to the sleepover with his friend because his mum said “if you want to go to the sleepover you have to finish your review homework.”

My favorite part was when Tom went to his Uncle and his auntie's house. Then his two cousins welcomed him inside of the house, then the two cousins said “come here and have some chocolate biscuits and sit down on this couch.” When Tom sat down on the couch eating his biscuits, well the two cousins were rubbing the chocolate side of the biscuit on Tom's shoes. So when Tom's dad came to pick him up, Tom was going to his dad outside of the front door. Tom was making a lot of chocolate stains on the carpet, then Tom’s aunt  sees all the chocolate stains that tom has made on the carpet. Then, dad started to get angry, tom's aunt said “Why did you make all this mess." The cousins were laughing. Then the next time, the two cousins welcomed them in the house and the two cousins said take some chocolate wafers. The cousins weren’t near Tom then, Tom ate all the chocolate wafers and he folded the chocolate wafers packet back together. Tom gave it to his cousins opened it and there was nothing.

Fruit fies

Fruit flies

As I pass Mt Albert, I see a huge sign that says “ beware fruit fly area, no fruits or veggies”. Fruit flies have been found in the zone which includes Mt Albert.

People can see if there has been a fruit fly on it by spotting if there is black mould on the fruit. The fruits look undesirable to eat. Then this has a great effect on the economy. There will be no exports that will result to the economy to go low.

Fruit flies destroy our fruits and our veggies and that is called contamination & they also make our fruits and veggies moldy. The bio security could get the insecticide to kill fruit flies before they can take away a lot of our fruits and veggies. The bio security have difficulty of keeping fruits and veggies safe because fruit flies have already been through and now they are contaminating our fruits and veggies.

Fruit flies can give people some diseases. They lay maggot eggs in fruits or veggies, the contamination is great that the fruits look rotten and swelling-- who do you think will buy NZ fruits and veggies?

Book review 2

The book Famous five was written by Enid Blyton. 

This story is about 4 kids and one dog named Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timothy the dog. They wanted to go the beach for a holiday. Then they met a friend called George. She was the owner of the beach. The 4 kids asked George if they could go on a boat ride to see a wrecked boat. Their adventure started when the boys took off to an island.

My favourite part is when they got stuck on a treasure island, they tried to find the lost treasure on the treasure island. I recommend this book to 9-10 years old because there might be some hard and challenging words they need to understand.

Auckland Botanical Gardens

Auckland Botanical Gardens

On friday 19 of Feb 2015 we had a trip to the botanical gardens so then we hopped in the double decker bus and i sat on the top of of the bus, and it was a long drive to the botanical gardens. Then we arrived at the botanical gardens then we got off of the bus and we went to the courtyard and then there were two women to guide us through the botanical gardens and there names were Sue and Caroline. Then we had morning tea. After we had morning tea we had to lock our bags in the cupboards.

Then we made groups. After we made the groups, the other groups went for a walked, and our group went in the classroom and we talked about native plants,exotic plants,endemic plants. Then Caroline took us to the children's gardens. Then we had to choose a spot for our magic moment. Then she read us a story about a Tui. Then Caroline gave us an envelope to put our seeds in. After we went to the garden center to plant our plant and to cut the plants. Then we went to the courtyard to have our lunch. After lunch we went into our groups and we went for a bush walk. After the bush walk we went back to school.
